IT History Exhibits, Tool Times, and A LOT OF FUN

The class of November 16th was incredible! The IT Exhibits that were presented, as well as the tool times, were just excellent.  I have to say that Audrea, Susan, and Melissa did a terrific job on their IT presentation.  I learned and enjoyed it so much.  Robyn's tool time was also very good.  Socrative seems to be very  cool, and I like the fact that we were able to fully interact with it.  I like it pretty much, and I was thinking that I could  possible utilize that tool in my new hire orientations.  Of course, it needs to be prepared adequately, but I think that it can be done.  I will certainly try it.

After I got home, I started to work in my contract.  So, I decided to finish one of my projects.  I was able to do it via Prezi, which I also learned from another tool time presentation, this time, Melissa's.  I LOVED Prezi.  I posted it already in Blackboard, but I will be doing the presentation in class as well.  I hope you guys like it.  It is not going to be a s good as all the ones that have been presented, but for a couple of hours project, I think it went well.

It was nice to learn about Melissa's "date" with Steve Wozniak, as well as Audrea's "new friend".  You "Go" girls.  It was also very good to see Kathy and see that she is doing well.

  1. Dear Johana,

That's really neat how we are all learning about numerous forms of technology. I learned about Prezi for the 1st time this semester too.

The tool that you created to help your daughter w/ Spanish was really neat too. I hope that it continues to help her learn & understand the language more thoroughly.

I met up w/ my "new friend" over the weekend & it was great.

I hope that you have a Happy Thanksgiving!!! :)

  2. Hi Johana,

I'm glad to hear that you LOVE prezi too. I have to say that I was beginning to lose interest in PowerPoint until you presented last week.

I was very impressed that you were able to create a quiz that went back and forth between slides based on whether or not the correct answer was selected.

    I didn't realize PowerPoint's full potential!

    Enjoy tomorrow's early dismissal.

Prezi is amazing - as I told Erin O'Hanlon, it's Power Point on crack :)
